Thanks Jeff. That's what I was looking for. I was going to take my options list (at home, naturally) and match them from everyone's posts. I believe that the option codes list only had 5 items (the orig. owner also had the Motosound package added-in later), and they were pretty straight-forward. The 18's would have been options, wouldn't they?

thanks again,

epj, like many posts on RL, there is no real point, just conversation. I thought it would be interesting to see just how individualized some of our 993s were as they came from the factory (I know that many are way individualized now). Did the original 993 buyer special order their car or did they just buy what ever the dealer ordered to have in inventory? If special ordered, how crazy or conservative did they get with the options? How many original 993 buyers went into the dealer and acted like money was no object and checked every box on the order form? How many people now own one of these cars that were ordered with a huge list of options?

flyenby, I bought my 993 over a year and a half ago from Pristine in Huntington Beach, so its possible this is the same car you almost bought. But no tears in the headliner I can see or any evidence of repair. Maybe they put a new one in.

blackcat, the sport chassis with 18" wheels listed on my sticker is the US M030 option with hollow spokes.

This really points out that Porsche options were as over priced 10 years ago as they are today. Unfortunately, the cost for the Exclusive options are not listed separately

My former 1996 cab stickered at $92k and sold for $93k. Very nicely optioned. The pricier options were:

-C4
-Cabrio
-Leather gear box tunnel
-Leather tray behind parking brake lever
-Leather frame of console switches
-Flared rocker panels
-Carbon shift **** and hand brake
-Alum & Chrome pkg: instrument dials, door sills, oval exhaust pipes
-Alt. standard color seat stitching
-Racing style sport seats
-Storage in place of rear seats
-Hi-fi sound pkg
-Xenon headlights

Yeah Bill, it's a little on the heavy side. The original owner tried to order it in Magnesium, but they were all out that day. You should see the granite dashboard!

These really have me wanting to order mine up, but one thing I don't see on any of them is where the actual paint code is listed. I see the color listed, but I was told that the window stickers also has the code on it. I do see the on Chris' that they list 'A1A1' under color, but that is only part of the code listed at paintscratch.com.

Jeff,

Your phone console was "only" $1600? Mine was almost double that on the sticker. I wonder why.

Actually, that is the one item I'm not sure about--it did not appear on my option codes, so I'm lead to believe it was dealer installed at the time of delivery. I don't have the option code for that one.

Anyone who what the MSRP was on the console?
