Talking The 993 is on the "Block" Ad#4932

I put my add up today....what if it sells? Then what do I do? How can I ever replace this car? I can't. But, with the proceeds, I will buy a SC based race car and do some racing. Here are some pics of the car:

Talking Low Octane Option...

Don't really know...in Cali, the best gas we can get is 91 octane. The car was ordered new in California...it may be a California thing.

Good luck with the sale, Martin... shouldn't last long, I'd think.

Talking Thanks Kelly.......

I appreciate your feedback....my intent is to put the car up on Rennlist first, and if necessary, market it using other venues.

Once sold....I transition to a little racing.

Talking HDDUDE and the price...

It is listed at $45,000 or BO. Consider there are over $20,000 in mods, material and labor in the car, $45,000 seems to be a reasonable place to start. As they say somewhere, there is a butt for every seat! Regardless HDDUDE, thanks for looking at the ad and I do appreciate your feedback.

And to Chris, thanks for the kind words.

And finally, as is typical for a lot of us, when we finally get the car just where we want it....it becomes time to move on.

And I beg to differ... the market does support well sorted cars. It's not some garage queen that has never been worked on with all initial flaws still intact. ... BTW, he does have OBO.

Martin... I wish you well.

Chris Boyd's car had 100K and sold for, what, $40,000 with a fair bit of track mods. Martin's car is not exactly the same as Chris', but Martin does have a whole slew of great upgrades.

I personally know a few people who worked on Martin's car(we share the same mechanic) and can say that they "think it the most well sorted, still street legal" 993 around. It is not as quick as a GT-3 but it handles better than any street 993 that they have ever driven.

If there ever was a dual use (street/track) 993, this is it.

Good Luck Martin.........C ya at Fontana later this month?..........ZP44

Good luck Martin! Sorry to hear you'll be leaving the 993 fold, but I'm sure you'll be around.

I know she's a real beauty, too. It's gotta be hard to part with her ...my condolences. But now that you've gone to the Dark Side, guess there's no turning back. Now go and find yerself a beaute of a Race Car! Best of luck to ya Martin!

She is a beauty Martin. I'm sure parting with this one will be tough given everything you've done with it. Hope you stick around the 993 board some. Good luck with the sale.
