Looks like there may be money to be made with the manufacture of mid-weight flywheels pretty soon, huh.

Well, for one thing I would love to move to MT, anywhere but California. After living in NE, SE, SW I just can not justify the living cost of CA anymore, is just not worth it. I rather concentrate my life on more important things.... like how to properly rebuild a 993 motor, or fix the RMS problem in a 996... than worrying about where my next house payment is coming from......

Actually I still think GA and FL are really cool places to live, low cost of living, people are down to the earth, and with all the rednecks running around I blend right in... :P

Purchasing the old Andial site would be an awesome proposition for anyone! Specializing in 993's would be the ultimate!!! I've always dreamed of being part of a Porsche specialty shop of some sort. But I have a mechanical engineering degree and know only a bit about servicing Porsche's.

Yeah, it's expensive living in southern California, but I've got family here I don't want to leave. Let's just make the best of it and replace one awesome P-shop with another!

RObin, if your dying to get out of the PRC, take a look at middle or eastern Tennessee. Beautiful area and one of the most affordable in the country.

It is sick what $200,000 will buy you in some areas.

Viper Bob, forget about CA, move up north near the NYC and CT area!!!!
No shortage of overpaid p-car owners that would be grateful for your help.
And, the Glen is available to you!!!!

There is a little bit of good news here, Porsche MotorSport will be expanding.
They have been in need of more space for years. With the space at Andial and aquiring a larger warehouse for parts, Porsche's race customers will see see a new level of committment from Porsche.
Andial will never go away, just a different stage at this point.

Default Former Andial Shop Foreman

As a long time customer of Andial (since 1987) and clearly impacted by their imminent closing, I wanted to mention that Kevin Kelly, a former shop foreman at Andial for most of his eight year tenure there, and who performed much of the actual "hands-on" service and/or modifications with respect to the 993's and 993 turbo's during that time, now works as a Porsche Technician for Newport Auto Center, the Porsche dealer in Newport Beach, CA. Although he may not be able to become involved in major modification projects, I would think that he would be able to undertake smaller upgrades as well as maintenance on all cars he previously worked on. It is my understanding that his current employer has no problem in honoring a customer's request for a specific technician to work on his or her car. The person to contact is Robert Guajardo (service writer) and the telephone number is (949) 673-0900 extension 2352.
