Default Help on removing CR-1 cassette/radio

Anyone with experience removing one of these? Pictures would really help. I have the trim/bezel off. Thanks

There are little pins on either side of the unit that you have to lift up. They may stay up on their own, allowing you to push the radio out. What I did was to put a bit of pressure on the pins from the back of the radio as I lifted the pins with a small screwdriver. The pins are the only catches that hold the radio in.

The pins are marked in Red on Peter's picture. They are shown in the up position.

Here is the thread.

Thanks Dave, I have actually tried moving those pins to the center and pull the unit out. It will not budge. I guess I will have to pull harder.

Scott,
I went downstairs to look at my old radio and cage. You are right. The pin must be in the middle to remove the radio. Too high or too low and it will not budge.
I took a picture of the pin in the release position.

Yeah, you will need a crowbar to get the cage out!
Unless you pull all the fingers around the cage in slightly before you try.
