I recently installed a new aluminum floorboard to replace the original, factory wooden one. While in there, I noticed that the protective rubber boot for the piston assembly on the clutch master cylinder was cracked.
Is this a big deal? Should I run . . . not walk to get it fixed? Do you have to replace the entire cylinder, or is it possible just to replace the boot?
Thanks,
Scott

Mine is cracked also. I made sure that the piston rod was clean and sprayed a bit of lube on it. Then I rotated the boot so that the crack faced down. The entire area around my pedal cluster was very clean, so I'm not worried about it for now.

Guys,
If you can't find it where you live, I'm sure I can still get them here and mail you the boot (or the whole thing but the boot is light so postage would be less).
Marc
p.s. I went through about 2 dozen cylinders that day and that was the best fit.
