Okay after lurking on this forum for months and getting lots of good advice I have finally registered AND joined.....the quality of the tech info and the pics of what you guys have done to your cars blow me away. So here's my query: I want to upgrade to 18s on my 96 NB but Turbo Twists are sooo expensive plus possibly look a little dated. I can get these aftermarket wheels from Europe at a good price but weight is unknown and check the specs below. So what do you think? Rub? Too iffy going aftermarket? Thanks for your thoughts.

should be a pic of a car with these wheels right here....

I always thought the aftermarket 18" Cup 2 design looked awesome. I wish Porsche made them from the beginning. Anyway, I think they're heavy as crap unfortunately. Going for looks alone, they have my vote!

Thanks for the input guys. I don't want them if they are heavy but I haven't been able to find out how much they weigh (Gert is checking for me.) That's one thing about the Turbo Twists--they are light. I wouldn't buy the Turbo-look twists--they weigh some 6 lbs more per wheel.
Here's another pic of the Cup II 18s.....anybody got pics of a black or dark blue C2 with Turbo Twists? Red?

I'll be honest, I'd go with the 18" cup II's. I don't love the look of the twists, but it is better than 17s. You can get a used set of twists for pretty cheap off of ebay. Now that I have the 928 and my kart, my 993 is primarily a street car so wheel weight isn't quite as big of an issue. I'm toying with the idea of getting some replica MY02's. How much are the 18" cups you are speaking of? Those offsets are incorrect, though. I don't have many pictures of my car with the wheels painted silver, but here are a few that I do have:

Since my new idea is to keep this car as stock as possible, I'm sticking to the 17" Cup II's but have taken the time to trick a set out so they won't look so plain. (See my other thread)
The 18"s do look pretty awsome though.............ZP44

I like the OE Cup IIs, and so in 18" they look just as good. Personally, I wouldn't sweat the extra weight if it's not for track use. For a street car, you'll never notice the difference. If you like the look and the price is right, go for it.
