Dang, Laurier. Your garage looks nicer than my bedroom.

Looks like you've got the best of both worlds... sit in your car and watch sports on tv. When is the 50" plasma coming?

As Viper Bob said they are great for wheel and brake work but provide limited access to the middle of the car. Some are more open in the middle and some have a solid deck.

I have a Snap_On w/ a solid deck that serves as a spare work bench.

You will need 2xs to drive our cars over them, I am more comfortable w/ a double layer of 2x

Instead of digging up the floor, I built a platform around the lift

Do you have a close-up shot of your drive-up ramp? Looks very stealthy and clean.

The ramps are easily made from stepped layers of plywood screwed and glued, I think I used either 1/2 or 5/8", you don't need them but I filled the transition steps w/ scrap molding that I had laying around. You hardly notice them when driving on. The plywood was slightly thicker than the molding so I used a belt sander on the plywood edges to further smooth the transitions

The ramps are just 2x10's screwed together and painted with a floor runner on the top side.
