Very Nice CP ! ! ! I wish I could get some RUF sills . . . but I doubt that I could afford a RUF conversion.

Shoot . . . my car is not even a TT . . . where RUF begins. Yet.

Scott,

Thanks for the kind words.

The Turbo -R or CTR started as 993tts. My BTR started as a regular C2. So you could theoretically get a RUF conversion with your car today.

Thanks for the info CP . . . I was mistaken (not the 1st time ). Good to know.

Did you have the conversion done . . . or buy it as such? Do you have any info or specs. This may be more tempting than a TT or SC conversion for my cab.

Honey . . . this darn slope is gettin' steeper . . . can you say 'home equity loan'?

I used a putty knife to get off the old glue and it was a total and utter bitch! I never want to go through that again. Took about 2 hours total, or more. After a while I gave up, and then started again. I used 3m adhesive remover I think.

I love my door sills - haven't really noticed any of my new mods that I did a year ago. I get in my car and drive, but don't really notice much even though some of these slight mods were time consuming to order and install. I think I'd notice the old black plastic and that I wanted the door sills, but after having the door sills, I don't need them anymore as I already have them, so I don't even notice them.

Does that make sense?

Definitely get some, though

Thanks for the pic Steve . . . and yes . . . it makes sense. It's a sickness many of seem to have. Haven't heard of any cure yet.

Scott,

I bought the car converted at RUF at Phaffenhausen.

Specs: C2, narrow body, 2WD, 2,996 lbs, 426 HP, 438 ft. lb. 0-60: 3.7 sec. top speed 196 MPH. This car is sick.

My PO paid RUF $65k in 2000, but that included titanium conrods and other Ti engine parts, Recaro A-8 seats, full aero-kit, and a bunch of other goodies.

Wow CP . . . sick is right . . . you can infect me with some of that illness . . . and I won't even search for a cure.

Is Phaffenhausen in Germany?? I've seen the web-site for the RUF dealer in Dallas and Weissach in Vancouver, Canada (I think that's where they are at) . . . and don't recall seeing any conversions offered for NA 993 cars??? Was/is your car a euro model . . . or was it shipped for the conversion (assuming my guess of Germany is right)?
