Has anyone hooked up an MP3 player to a Nakamichi CD 400?
I know it has an AUX option but since I lost the manual I not sure where the AUX input is. It is so tight behind the stereo I can’t see to tell if there are any RCA jacks.
Thanks

Your auxiliary input for the CD400:
Looking at the back of the unit, above (and slightly to the right of) the 14 pin connector, there are three connections available (3 pin, vertical). They are from left to right (as you look at the back of the unit), AUX IN, SW OUT, and REAR OUT. Having said that, I have not connected anything to my AUX IN jack.
Hope that helps a little,
chuck

Hi,
Yep, had CD400 in my 964, to which I connected my iPod via the AUX-in.. It worked fine.
I had a US-spec one, and it came with a couple of pairs or RCAs on cables - I had to plug a pair into the AUX socket on the back, and job done..
Dave.

Thanks Dave. Was it one of those 1 conector that spreads out into a red and white or does it have two RCA jacks? (one for red one for wihite.) I have an amp plugged into it now and I can see it takes up two plugs. I assume that is for the SW OUT, and REAR OUT.

You should have received three of the input wires with the Nak unit. The aux source input works great for the Ipod or even XM radio...plus you can turn off the display at night when using the aux source. From my experience, the unit must be removed to properly access the plug in...and make sure you tie strap the plugs the way the instructions suggest...the tie strap will keep the plugs in place when you slide the radio back into position. good luck.

Thanks, it seems that the guy I had install the unit did not give me any of the extras so it look like I will have to go to a shop and see what I can get.
