Yes I still have the other set of wheels. 18" OEM Porsche Sport Design wheels. They are for sale separately.

the 993 doesn't work for the day-to-day.
Newbie canuck here, initially in the market for a 996 but have always loved the classic lines of the 993.
Just curious to know your thoughts as to why you feel it's not a daily driver.
Further are you able to comment on maintenance issues of 993 v.996 (i.e. RMS issue). Does the 993 carry a maintenance issue as well (i.e. CEL, valve guides, etc.)?

FWIW-I have seen and driven in this car and it is OUTSTANDING!!! I must confess that unless it is parked I have only seen it in motion from the rear
. If you are looking for a great 993 I would unreservedly recommend Patrick's. It is almost enough to make me forsake my Cab.

As for anyone in the market, the car drips some kind of green goo that glows in the dark?? Did you ever get that skunk that was living in the back seat to find a new home yet?

Honestly and all kidding aside, this is one of the nicest cars I have had the privilege to see and drive. It will sell fast at that price; If I had the resources and space, it would be sitting next to the one I have now.

You guys are too kind, I guess. Bill, I dropped that skunk off in front of your house just last week. We will still have runs up North, now it will have to be a 99X run or simply a 911 run.
Bob: By not working for me day-to-day, I mean I cannot put all of my 3 kids in this car. The 997 is more capable of holding car seats, turning off airbags, etc.
The 993 cars are known for their CEL problems and premature valve guide wear. My car has not had CEL issues, had the ports cleaned, and since my last oil change 3,000 miles ago has not burned even 1/2 quart of oil. So, that is all good.

This is my first post on rennlist. I am looking to buy my first P-car this year. All the posts on this site have made me an even bigger addict. Thanks for all the great info!

Welcome to the site... it really is a great place.
The Targa top requires little additional maintenance. I simply grease the rails periodically. I have had no problems with the top.
A Targa is really the best of both a coupe and a convertible.
