I am looking at Nittos NT01 for my DE / track car. I know 2 drivers at our track that are very very happy with 235/40/18 front and 275/35/18 in the rear for their 996 track cars. I am considering this combo for my 993 C4S.

Did someone use this? Any other thoughts?

you are looking at a gearing hit
it depends on the tire but for say Hoosier R6
275/35 x18 is 25.5" taller, worse gearing for most track use, taller more flexible sidewall, runs at a higher slip angle and generates more heat
280/30 x18 in 24.9" shorter, better gearing for most track use, shorter stiffer sidewall runs at lower slip angles and runs cooler

I just went to 245/35R18 x8 in the front and LOVE the extra grip for AX. I was always pushing in the corners before (or over-driving the car, depending on your perspective), and the extra 0.8" of front grip is HUGE.

Still the stock 285/30R18x10 in the back, but I didn't push it.
