Slave cylinders list for $125, but can be had for aboout $85. Add a quart of fluid and an hour to an hour and a half labor an you are done. Pretty simple job...

So, sometimes my pedal is notchy, usually not. Do this mean my clutch slave cylinder is going?

Before I did my clutch job I too had similar notchy clutch pedal feeling. And on occasion my pedal would not come back up fully! Now smooth as silk. (I replaced the slave) What cruel Porsche Engineer put the slave on top of the transmission??

Bob is right on the cost. I just ordred the slave ($83.02) and hose ($37.26) from Sunset Porsche.

I will post an update once I've replaced the beast.

Wonder about the "clutch depressed bleeding"... you'd relieve the pressure on the clutch once you opened the nipple. Then there'd be nothing to push the clutch back once you closed the nipple. I always defer to Robin's knowledge, so what am I missing?

Jeff,
I only used a Power Bleeder for this. Are you referring to a comment made by someone else?
