Question wind deflector attachment

I have a 1997 cab which did not have a wind deflector when I bought the car. When I purchased the car, I asked the dealer if it had the proper mounting hardware installed within the car to install a wind deflector, and he looked inside the cab top and said "yes", but I'm not sure what he noticed to confirm this. I am considering buying a wind deflector, but I want to make sure that the car has the proper hardware.

Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for in my cab top to make sure that the wind deflector can be properly attached? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The mounting hardwared comes with the OEM wind deflector. When the top is down you will notice on each side sitting on top of the metal frame a female recepticle, one side also has a small red release button. You can't miss them as without the screen, nothing is in them. Does your head liner have a zipper with nothing attached to it. If so, that is where the fabric part of the wind screen attaches to the headliner.

Since Kirk has chosen not to respond, I'll do it for him. I'm sure this is what he would say if he had the time/internet access/or emotional space given all of the other issues in his life:

"Hey guys, thanks so much. FB, your description was great, and ArenaRed, the photos really help. Gee this place is a great source of information, from nice people who respond quickly with accurate information. I hope some day I can return the favor to another rennlister and make my own positive contribution to this community. "

Yes, I have a vivid imagination. Hang in there Kirk, I hope all turns out OK.

Arena993 - Publicly, I thank you.

fbfisher - you beat me to the punch, and have taken the words out of my mouth. It never ceases to amaze me the wealth of information from people on this site, or the willingness to help others!

Thanks again.
