Fog Lights Yellow? - Here's A Way To Make Them Shine
#76
OK, will answer my own question for other’s benefit.
I completely stripped down both driving lights, with the exception of taking the lens off (breaking the permanent cement that holds them on).
What I found is since they’re not completely sealed (vented on the bottom), there is a thin layer of dust everywhere inside the housing. I was able to wash interior and exterior with dish soap and then clear up water spots with 70% alcohol. This included the parabolic glass for the actual driving light.
I did some nominal polishing of the exterior of the lens and increased clarity and light transmission by an estimated 50%. Since I’m going to a euro turbo bumper will not replace lenses, but I may get more aggressive with a better cutting paste for polishing and then out the xpel PPF kit over the “best they’ll get result.” All that said, if I don’t do the Turbo S ducts/driving light, will replace lens glass.
