From what I have been finding, torque is lost down low with "strait through" pipes (cups). But it does allow the motor to spin more free on the top end....so you gain extra top end speed. With these, I get great down low torque, wonderful sound with no resonance (both inside and out of the car) and good top end speed....oh and they fit properly tucked up out of sight.

Adam,

if your question was directed at me, I DO have Fabspeed cat bypass pipes, but they are being sent back due to fitment issues. What I have for sale is a set of Maxflo Mufflers, that will not fit with factory tips (they have their own).

I am now patiently waiting for the bypass pipes pictured above made by Chris (993inNC)

Yes, it tucks up exactly where the factory cat lives.....but you'll want to ixnaye that cover anyway, just causes to much heat build up.

Rob, be patient brother, may have them finished up tomorrow (don't hold me to it tho ) I just have to bend and fit the ends on the X section.

Chris-
I tried to download the your sound bytes from putfile.com but didn't work. Could you post actual files on Rennlist? I have RSR's but want more sound without loss of low end. Your solution sounds great!

Chris,

How do you get around with the CEL problem without the CAT? What did you do with the 4 02 sensor connection?

The right resister may be the solution.. That is the way around on most obd& obdII cars. Some one must sell one by now that plugs in... just into any after cat 02 sensor....right?? purely speculating on my part..

From what I know the DME is looking for a variable voltage change from the 2nd set of the 02 sensor to indication a working CAT, so the voltage can not stay the same. I know the Corvette guys have a emmulator that they use for this exact application, but I have lost the contact information with the guy who can provide the emmulator.

Brad, you'll need "Quicktime" (sort of like windows media player) to see/hear them. Although I have used W.M.P. before downloading Qtime. I couldn't figure out how to get it on RL thats why its on Putfile. If you have a big email account I can email them to you ......i think? (not the best at this computer stuff!).

If you want more sound, this'll be the way to get it with no resonance inside.
I just tried the link and it does work.....let me know
