All Bosch 55 pin connectors of the same basic Motronic version are the same, e.g. BMW & Porsche.

You wouldn't by chance have a connection at AMP in the UK for buying connectors? In the past I've tried to purchase certain 19, 35 & 55 pin connectors but they were all made specifically for Bosch so AMP USA would not resell them. They wouldn't even give me the specs on them because the connectors had application part numbers and anything with an app # is considered proprietary. I've cast my own 19-pin connectors in polyurethane but the extra time & cash required basically killed the project so I never bothered doing molds for the other connectors.

To date the cheapest 993 DME I had found was ~$700. So when I made that post "inexpensive" meant anything not $700...

If I had actually found them for $40 each I would have bought at least a few of them and would have never made that post.

Just buy a BMW '88 - '90 325, 535, 735 DME core unit ~ $75 at most junk yards.
The last 3 digits of the Bosch numbers are; 150, 153 & etc for Motronic 4th.
Check here ( www.systemsc.com/Parts.htm ) for additional part numbers.
