Thanks for the info Bob, in that case, it looks like they stole my idea of the 30mm extra thread.

Hey Jeff --

I was considering H&R coilovers, but this sounds like a good alternative.

Not to be lazy (no search), but what is the adjustabililty of this set-up?

The pic of the front stuts looks good, but is there similar range at the rear?

I would most likely be 'in' if you can get even a minor discout to the prices that you have shown.

Keep me in the loop

Using the Bilstein HD's with the extra threads, I believe the cars can be lowered from 10mm (2/5") up to 40mm ( 1"3/5) from standard US height. The spring rate of the HD's is not adjustable.

However, as others have mentioned above, there might be some interest in getting the Bilstein PSS-9's instead of the HDs/M030 combo. In this case, the car can still be lowered, although I'm not sure exactly how much but it is comparable, as I understand it, to the lowering ranges above. However, the PSS-9's have the advantage of having adjustable spring rates across 9 settings ranging from 225lb-250lbs up front and 400lbs-685lbs in the rear, again as I understand it.

As I indicated in the first post, this thread is really meant to get a feel for the level of interest. We'll have to see if and how the possible group buy shakes out.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Interested. If some of us go for this, we will then need regional group install days!

I'm going to change this just a tad.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest in getting Bilstein PSS9 Coilovers instead of the Bilstein HD/M030 package.

If you have a preference either way, please let me know and I'll start a tally.

As I indicated in the beginning, this might take a bit to get organized, so I appreciate your help/patience. In the end, hopefully we can also get a much improved suspension as a discounted price.

Also, one last note--be sure to check the first post in this thread. I will update it with new information rather than making you search through all the posts.

Personally, I'd like to get new sways. In my mind, if I'm getting new shocks/springs or coilovers, I will need to upgrade the sways.

Depends upon cost/timing.

Thanks for organising; I know how much work it is from organising the instrument bling group buy.

Cheers,

David

Talking 30mm extra Thread and, M030 Springs

I just got a set of Bilstein HD...the machine work to incorporate the extra 30mm of thread was already done. As you know, this is not necessary in the rear...they have plenty of thread.

For those of you that are going Bilstein HD, and you need a set of M030 springs, I have a set up on the classifieds...I wound up with two (2) sets, I'll use one (1) with my Bilstein HDs and sell off the second set.
