220 -- sounds like you got the job as I don't know Tim the way that you do.

Thanks everybody for the positive feedback. My son and I work
very hard to keep the quality of the cars above the average.
Sincerely, Tim Holt

I don’t mind going over there at all. Like I said I’ve seen the car before, several times in fact. My only issue was that Tim has been nice enough to allow me to pick his brain on some car prices and to take a peak at some of the car deals I have gotten into before. I sold him my RSA 5 years ago and he made me a nice offer on my 97 C2S when I needed some cash and even allowed me to lean on his bid until another buyer stepped up and paid closer to retail for that 97. That was very nice of him and I don’t want to hassle him. That being said I don’t mind going over there at all, its always nice to see all those cars.

What exactly are you looking to find out? I have seen the car and personally I like the color and I know the car is really sweet. Send me a pm with exactly what you’re looking to learn and I’ll do my best to get you that info on Friday.

Default Wow, thanks for all the support and replies.

Trader, I will send you a PM with some items to look at and maybe to evaluate with a test drive (weather permitting).

And for anyone else willing to run over there, it would be appreciated as more opinions mean more comfort.

dhicks, for the record you can find some of Tim's prices on AutoTrader, which is how I found him to begin with.

Now for a story. After having 2 water-cooled in silver, a 986S in Arctic and a 996 in GT, I thought my first air-cooled should be the color of water.

Elton,

Is there an "official" name for that color? I saw a similar car out here a few years back, and it was called "Turkish", for no obvious reason. It was spectacular. Best of luck on that beauty.

Hi Steve,

Happy New Year, and I hope you are well.

The official name of the color is Blue Turquoise Metallic, color code L25D. I have only seen one other in person, and I agree it was spectacular (but certainly not for everyone).

Love the Ruf!

Gotta run! Go SC! Fight On!

Okay, this might be a stupid question, but is Blue Turquoise Metallic a different color than Turkish Green? I was looking at a Turkish Green cab in So Cal (maybe the car Steve saw) last year and would have bought it if I had not been offered such a screaming good deal on my Artic Silver cab.

I can say, Turkish Green in person is a knock out color, even with the wierd name.

Michael,

Thanks for posting that you have also seen that "Turkish" color... I was begining to think I had just made that up. A different car (a C4S Coupe) but an amazing color. I like the unusual colors, and suspect that this turquoise metallic would also be spectactular.

Default BIG thanks to...

labcars and Trader220 for doing drive-bys earlier today. Based upon the "glowing" reports, I will pull the trigger.

I have already ordered the Intercity truck, but due to some little auction in AZ, I probably won't see my new ride until early Feb.

Thanks again labcars and Trader220! My offer for dinner anytime you visit will always be open.

Elton,

Congrats on your new purchase. I'm looking forward to seeing the car in person on one of our cruises or shows. Good luck on getting any sleep until after it arrives!
