Both beautiful cars and that is the best view by far of a p-car. Seeing the 997 on it's own it is really something to look at. But when you put it next to the 993 I can't take my eyes of the red car. Of course a completely unbiased view of a 993 owner. The fact that a 8-10 year old car can hold it's own next to the new one shows how right they got it. Thanks for sharing.

Dr. No...The color is Amaranth Violet. Bright light is the least flattering for this color, otherwise it takes on a very deep color. I've seen it on a few...thanks for the compliment!

It seems that Beverly Hills Porsche converted 5. I saw these for sale on their website back in 1998. Since then I have seen the Arena Red and an Ocean Blue tip on the re-sale market. I have contacted Beverly Hills Porsche for a paper trail on the cars. I have also contacted Porsche and they told me these cars do exsist. I asked them about the options, which were weird for these cars. All came with "Carrera S Aluminum Door Sills". Finally I spoke to the 964 and 993 guru, Adrian Streather. He confirmed these cars to exsist as well. I am putting together the documentation and looking for the original "window sticker" just to have.

I am not poistive on this.The cars have the model code of a 993 Cab, which makes me believe the dealership did the conversions. PCNA hasn't been too quick to give me the information.

Interesting... I wonder what they sold for new, I'd imagine a large markup. I also wonder why Porsche didn't build these as a regular model, seems they would have been pretty popular.

I remember seeing them, but I think they were all sold shortly after they arrived. The dealership made a really big deal about them. I think, with the mark-up, they all sold for over $100K. You know in Beverly Hills, they have special money trees.

The original owner of my 97 C4 cab bought it from BH Porsche for only 98k, so I can imagine they had a huge markup on the widebody's.

I know this is a 993 forum, but I gotta say, when I bought my first P-Car, the wide rear of the 4S made my decision for me. I love it.
I've been thinking for a while now that I want to get a 993 as a weekend car in a few years. I was thinking of a C2S, but after looking at all the pics on this thread, I may have to broaden my horizons. |

Forgot about the matching wheels. You are hard to keep up with sometimes.
I think yellow works better than the other traditional colors. You can't go "too loud",because I think Vesuvius needs something classy. Don't know what Vesuvius calipers would look like. I agree that you don't want them to get lost in the wheels. Well,at least the car is the already the best color.:cheers: Emerald |

what was that interior color on that promotional pic of the Vesuvious C2S...was it flamingo red? More cranberry kinda, not sure...someone here will know. There were lots of pics of that car, I think it was euro. Anyway, THAT interior color was to die for, and complimented the exterior well
