I've been to Idyllwild - very beautiful area.

I have read with interest the posts on which suspension to upgrade the 993 with.
I live in the UK, where we have fairly poor roads and the fun roads are often less than smooth.
I also use my 993 at the Nurburgring a few times a year.
I race an Escort XR3i and have an M5 for trackdays/endurance races.
Personally I feel that a car (in the UK and Europe) optimised for racing will be undrivable on the road. This means a compromise is inevitable. As non competitive trackuse is not against the clock I try to look for something that is good on the road without being harsh and unpredictable (if you hit a large bump running out of suspension travel/excess bump steer can be tedious) whilst feeling controlled and flat.
Having tried a 993 on PSS9 I plumped for Bilstein HDs with Hand R springs. I set it up with RS camber etc but only as low as possible without putting the rear roll bar under the suspension arms.
The set up is a cracking compromise and at the Nurburgring felt good.
I also find the standard brakes fine save for putting on EBC red stuff pads and AP 600 fluid. If you are running out of brakes on a 993 at most tracks you need to go round corners faster!
Interestingly I find my 993 more adjustable and fun on a track than the 964 RS I had before, if not ultimately as quick.

Looks nice. I installed mine last week and its off at the shop getting the alignment done and 60k service. (I got scared by the spark plug DIY!) lol. Anyway, I am VERY anxious to get mine back. I set mine like you did, but it looked so low (it settled overnight to -1 fingers between tire and fender!) so the next day I raised them up a bit. It did look absolutely wicked that low tho!

Thanks all, I'm amazed at how well it handles. Added the strut brace a few days ago and the car is now very tight. No creaks and no flex - just great!
Bokonon, all I can say is: "you'll love it!"

Looks great and I bet it handles great too.
I'm really hope to be able to do the same this coming Spring. My car still has the original shocks/springs on it (only 27K), but I'm looking forward to tightening it up. It looks like Gert might have the best pricing on the package (including the sways), even considering the poor exchange rate.
BTW, Scott and Eric, your wheels look great too.

The height is excellent on smooth mountain roads & hiways, but possibly a bit low for parking lot curbs and speed bumps.
