I think I am defintely raising the front 1/2 to 5/8, possibly lowering the rear 1/2 clearance permiting. The car handles phenomenal on flat roads the way it is now , but the bump steer is ridicoulus.

You may benefit from a steering rack brace too.

When I had my Pss9s installed last week (formerly I had H&R springs and M030 shocks) the ride height ended up higher. The bump steer is almost nonexistant and the car handles superbly. Lower is not necessarily better. The ride is so compliant at medium settings, compared to my former setup, I may actually try full firm to see what it is like.
Your car looks great BTW!

Remember that the fender lip is NOT the correct place for measuring ride height. It should be at the suspension subframe points described in the workshop manual. Per the manual, the front point should be 17mm higher than the rear, but I don't know how that translates into fender lip measurements. Perhaps it directly correlates but I don't know that.

The front is on the cusp of a bump steer problem at that ride height.
If it were here, I'd raise the front slightly and lower the rear a tad to get your 1 degree rake and then cornerweight the car, followed by an alignment.

Steve, it seems the ideal ride height for the street ( low as you can without bumpsteer and looking like a ricer) is 25 1/2 fr and 25 rear. If anyone knows what these measurements translate to from the frame points, I would like to know.

Sean, I used the RS measurements at the frame bolts + 10mm all round. That translated roughly to 25 1/4 up front and 25 rear at the fender lips. Make sure you have a full tank of gas. I have found that you could see up to 1/4 of an inch difference in ride height up front depending on how full the tank is.

Hi Sean:
My pleasure, Sir.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
A note about ride height,.................
A lot of people & shops strive to set these cars at "RS" ride height and one must remember that the RS cars used different uprights (hub carriers) and tie-rods than all the street 993's, both N/A & TT.
These RS/GT-2 (EVO) uprights attached the tie-rod at a lower position (requireing the different RS tie-rods) to cure the resulting bump steer problems that occurred at that ride height. Failure to use all these components when setting these cars at "RS" ride height results in a car that frankly doesn't behave as well as a stocker (although it looks cool),.....![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
My best advice is to either budget for these items when one contemplates a suspension upgrade, or set the car a bit higher to prevent the bump-steer issues that degrade handling. In many cases, "less is more".
My pleasure, Sir.
