Default Fabspeed Supercups Revisited-New Question

After searching for nealy 4 hours through the archives of Rennlist without finding my answer...I have to ask if anyone knows that there is an application for Fabsepped's Supercups for an S-model 993. Since I learned that the tips on the 2s/4s were offset, it got me thinking about whether or not Fabspeed even makes the supercup exhaust for the widebody NA cars.

(Its a shame they couldnt put some big ovals on those supercups for the BIG OVAL look)

If this has been answered already, I apologize...I just couldnt locate it.

I would shoot a quick email to Joe Fabiani (jfabiani@verizon.net) at Fabspeed. He's been very quick to respond to my questions in the past.

This should give you the correct answer.

Merry Christmas!

The answer is absolutely yes. Skip/swftiii, to name but one, has Supercups on his C4S. Put em on and watch the fast lane part like Moses at a streetside puddle.

I plan on driving the 993 to the in-laws (gads) in NoVa tomorrow to give the nephews and nieces a frosty thrill. Good thing my future father-in-law knows I'm not the Larry Ellison of northern Baltimore County.

Merry Christmas all! Rennlist rules!

thanks for that...I would assume they had to adjust the angle of the "muffler" (grin) to align with the offset?

You said to me once, "Andreas, I am Money."

What's with the new-found modesty?

Merry Christmas!

No, no, no; It was "God, I wish have FU money.

You are such a pain in my ***. I'm going to enjoy batting you around like a cat as he toys with a mouse before he devours bis prey.

Driving the 993 on the street in special occasions like this is one of the few reasons I have a dual-purpose car, other than having the bank account of the anti-matter Larry Ellison ("Lost in Space, anyone?).

Seriously, Andreas, I called you yesterday to wish you, Rachel and your new one all the best. I value our friendship and am so glad you aren't slipping ethylene glycol in your new Porsche.

LOL! Yeah, the Red Roof Inns in Timonium has a few empties, and we can fund the Jim Trueman estate. I can swing by the Wagon Wheel for a bevy of skinny, young hotties just reeking of stripper juice.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming: if you want supercups, you should look for the first gen cups without any baffles. You can always get carchemistry.com inserts to tone down the aural assault. Every tunnel or underpass will be as intoxicating as a snowy open parking to a sixteen year old with a Camarao. Or a 42 year old with a Sequoia.

Moot point, but Mark is right, they fit perfectly. The same supercup muffler fits both the narrow body and the wide body. I have a set on my c2s. A bit loud, but I love em.

Mark, thanks for the tip on carchemistry.com. Do you how much of a trade-off (quieter but free flow is restricted) there is? I imagine that there would be somewhat of a power loss. My main reason for running the supercups is the turbos spooling up faster, otherwise they are a bit loud during cold startups.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Bill

Pete...can you post a pic of what your "rear end" looks like w/ the SUpercups. Do they line up correctly in the center of the heat shields? (look right?)

I've got 'em. Sound amazing.

Sorry about the pic, there was a lot of sun out that day.

My Supercups don't line up perfectly in the cutouts of my NB 993, but unless you get down on your hands and knees and study them, you don't notice the difference (that's what I told myself after 2 hours of trying to get them exactly dead-on perfect!!).
