You live a good healthy life, have a good sence of humour and your spirit seems to stronger than oak. That kind of reminds me of Kenny Bräck who smacked totally in the IRL last year. A more positive guy is hard to find. He's completly recovered from something that would have been fatal to most. I'm most certain you'll pass this like a bump on the road and you'll look back at this thread in the future smiling.
Cheers, Best wishes, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and all the rest!
Hey Chuck...don't ask me why but I feel you are ready to beat this thing...and deep down you know as well...go there and beat it...then you take your car and drive until you cross at least two state bordes! Best of luck...
Your going to beat it!, Just so you know my mother in law beat lung cancer this year too......!! Stay positive and do what you have to do! It can be done and it will be done....
God Bless and Have a Great Holiday Season.
Bob
Chuck, very sorry to hear about this. As others have already said, your positive attitude will be a big factor in recovery and your quality of life. Our thoughts are with you...
I think we all appreciate your open and honest post, and also your sense of humor and will. Frankly, you did us all some good. So, in return, our good wishes, prayers, thoughts go to you. Attitude and fight are important, and friendships and family.
Enjoy your family and your 993, your fun pursuits. And get healthy.
Thank you all so much. Last night, I felt slightly self indulgent by posting my situation.
Now, the only thing I feel is a true appreciation and love for this community.
You have made my day! Thank you,
chuck
Though we've never 'met', I always felt a bond with you since I bought mt RUF. May be because we are the same age, or we share similar philospohy in many matters. I always remember one line in your original PM to me about your liver condition: "I will come out of this alive..." and I truely believe you will. You have been in my prayers since I read that PM, and I trust that the Lord takes care of good people. You are a genuine good guy.
I had a very difficult year in 2005 as well. Though I hardly shared as much on the board (only posted about my car woes) but through the comaradiare of the Rennlist Community, my daily grind got less 'grindy'. So yeah I know the theraputic benefits of our cars and our friends here. I hope you find similar solace as I do here in cyber space.
You have a lovely family, a wonderful car, and many things to enjoy in life. May you live a long and healthy life to enjoy it.
Wishing you a merry Christmas, happy new year, strength and inner peace.
Chuck, holidays, or no holidays, this is one of the things that strikes you out of the blue and makes you think - what can I do to help? Besides the best wishes to you, indeed - if we can do anything to help you and yours, please let us know.
Chuck, are You healthy enough to come drive one of my Cup Cars? We can do some serious praying together also. Invitation will remain open until I hear from You.
Merry Christmas, may the Lord Bless You and keep You, may He make His countenance shine upon You and give You peace.
Sincerest well wishes and prayers to You and Yours,
Glen Gatlin
