Generally, I don't mod/upgrade unless the part is worn out. My DMF was somewhat worn and my clutch not, but my engine was out for the rebuild at 120K. So, in went the LWF/RS clutch. Love it. Saved a bunch, or so I told my wife. Which is the same I heard from her 10 minutes ago when she got home from 6 hours of shopping.

Winsome, you don't tell us much about your car. How many miles does it have? Are you ready for a clutch job? Is it a 95 OBDI car or a 96-98 OBDII car? Do you autocross or DE? Is it a daily driver? There is a great deal of Urban Myth surrounding a LWF. As an engineer I can tell you that there are some distinct advantages to using one. There are however som cons as well. Do a search on LWF and you find many threads.

I am sorry should have mention something about my car as the signiture is no longer there.....My 993 is a 94 manufactured European (I am in Hong Kong) version which since the beginning of my ownership has undergone serious refurbuishing. suspension such as pss9 H&R sway etc and I attend track event once or twice a year and I am a weekend worrior which the car sees 200km/h regularly, to sum up I really push the car. The reason why I wanted the LWF is because over the weekend when I attend a track day, I feel the car doesn't rev up fast enough when existing corner.

I understand the inherate problem about idle noise and stalling. Lets presume I have a cure for the stalling problem but I needed to know the improvement in engine response after the LWF installation.

Many Thanks

If your looking for a little quicker accel and rev, the LWF is a performance bargain when compared with internal engine work. If you dont sit too much in traffic, I would install it..
