I was out having a "pop" in the garage prior to shovelling the snow and I had to do a mini photo shoot. Boy, are you guys and girls in the South lucky dogs!!

Let it be known that I'm relying on y'all to pull me through this Canadian Winter. Keep the interesting posts coming and PLEASE post some current shots of what the weather is like where you are (with your 993).
Cheers,
Bob

I don't get it... winter is a great time of the year. Put the snow tires on her and drive, drive, drive! It's just a car.... it does snow in Germany... I do believe.

Rob

p.s. Who would want to live in the south... no seasons, generally humid as hell in the southeast US, and too populous. Just my opinion.... but a pretty a stubborn one.

Way to go Rob - post a pic of yours with snow tires out in the white stuff.
Last time I checked they stopped making 993's - I'd like to make mine last as long as possible. I'll save the crappy weather for the other cars. Look forward to the pic's.
Cheers,
Bob

Bob,

Will do on the pics...but I can't get it to snow here in Ohio presently... but I am working on it. Also, I understand the sentiment that they don't make 993s anymore. However, they don't make "me" anymore so everyday is my last day... possibly.

Happy Holidays

Rob

Seriously.. I've never seen those 4 wheel'd trays before. Do you physically move the car around the garage?

I think Bob's got the right idea. You don't have to drive it every day to enjoy it. One can rest well at night knowing his 993 is in "perfect" shape, dry and safe in the garage, ready to "sound off" at the turn of the key -- that feeling is priceless.

They don't use salt in Montana. It's too cold for it. They do spray tons of gravel everywhere which helps, a bit.
I feel your pain.

Bob: Nothing like keeping your baby garaged in the winter; the salt is never good for cars no matter how treated the metal is. She's a beauty.

I will be in Toronto next month for 10 days and I always hope for lots of snow each winter I come in as we don't get much snow in Seattle and its a blast to experience the snow conditions for a few days.

bob,

saw the beemer in the pic. Also noticed that you change the rims on the beemer for the season. I do the same thing. Attached is a pic of Ralph aka "chubby" and Lisel. Ever see the Sound of Music? Enjoy

Sorry - don't know how to use the "quote" feature in the response ...

jlb_94611:
Yes - they're auto dollies - my garage has some angled areas so I put them on these to roll the car into a corner i couldn't have otherwise parked in. $100 a pair I think.

nile13:
Is that a basket handle I see? Good thing ... you can use it to pull her out of that snow bank!! Great picture.

The 330xi with snows makes awesome winter transportation - compensates for my lack of driving skill!! Only about 300 miles seat time in the 993 so far - got her late in the year. Looking forward to a fun-filled Spring.
Bob
