Default 993 Euro Tail lights

I have been looking for a nice pair of OEM euro tail lights.
Why is it that some 911 and other Porsche have them and the 993 only have red tail lights.
How much should I expect to pay for a nice / new pair or yellow euro tail lights.
Thanks

I got mine from Vertex (RL Sponsor). $300 for the pair (OEM).

The 993 has them...call Vertex (Rennlist sponsor) as they have them for $169/each...the US version (red) is only $89, go figure why!

does anyone else find the humor in the popularity of americans ditching the yellow corners up front and adding them in the back?

better yet, do europeans want their 993's to look like north american versions as much as north americans want their 993's to look european? wouldn't this be lovely.

Hi Tony... could you post a pic of this beautiful TT and show your European taillight...it's hard to tell by the avatar and I'm curious to see how it looks like...thanks...

Hi Mike...I'm from Brazil and back in the 80s all the cars left factory with all red tailights...the most sold aftermarked item was the yellow/amber rear turning light (that time you did not need to buy the whole assembly...just the turning light lens)...

I think that's funny too. From a purely aethetic point of view, it seems to me that the following are true:

1. Bumperettes spoil the lines of the car
2. A single long clear lens is prettier than a short clear and a short amber lens
3. A single long red lens is prettier than a red lens and an amber lens

So, I prefer Euro (not British) front treatment with US rear lenses (without bumperettes)

that's interesting. i wonder what the appeal is. many rennlisters look to tone down the front end by swapping in the yellows for clears. we also like to eliminate the bumperettes both front and back to clean-up the look. yellow rear turns seem to be a step in the opposite direction for those folks. but hey- i'm all for it. like many mods, it probably adds just a little bit of personalization.

So you guys are looking for these lenses?

If so the first guy to e-mail me at mcuozzo@gmail.com, and send me a check for $150 plus shipping gets them.

They are off my 35K mile 96 c2 and they are in very good condition.

Thanks,

Matt

Oliver,

You got 'em!

Pedro,

I always think used items should wind up being about half of new, unless it's a rare part or seldomly seen for sale. These pop up from time to time.

Plus, I'm just returning the car Karma. I've gotten some good deals, and even some free parts from time to time.

I think part of it is that we just get bored, want to change something for the sake of change! Grass is always greener, etc.
