Thank you for the accurate info on the various components and different tails. So far, if I add this up right, we have something like:

Original motorized tail and lid, no latch: ~24lbs.
One piece OEM Turbo tail : 21.8lbs.
OEM RS Tail and lid: 21.5lbs
MA Shaw RSA tail and lid: 21.2lbs

This seems a little light for the complete motorized tail. Anyone have one off their car, complete, that they could weigh? Otherwise I'll need to get my lazy butt in the garage....(this is now past curiosity to full "need to know")

I agree Jason, the motorized tail -- I'm guessing -- it's got to be at least 30 lbs or so.

I installed all the body peices on my car myself. It shore seemed the original motorized tail was quite heavy, when I lifted it to store in the attic. Compared to installing the TT tail by myself. Maybe I was wrong...

That is the weight of my complete spare 993 motorized tail prior to disassembly.

The only thing missing was the latch. It was weighed on a bathroom scale hence the ~

probably +/- 2#
