Hooking up a Battery Tender
I just received my Battery Tender from the Group Buy above. However, before hooking it up, I recall a thread, which I can't seem to find, that indicated that our cars are wired with a "positive ground" (IIRC). As I remember, hooking up a Tender backwards would cause damage to the electrical system.
Can someone confirm or correct my poor recollection above--can I simply hook up the positive of the Tender to the positive of the battery and the negative of the Tender to the chassis?
Thanks for any help.

Go down and look on your battery terminals - they're generally labeled as to which is positive and which is negative. As a data point, haven't heard of a positive ground vehicle since English cars built in the '50's. So, wire the lead from the Battery Tender that says it should be hooked to the positive lead to the positive battery terminal, and vice versa with the negative lead.
Don't these things come with instructions?

And, yes, it comes with instructions, which in fact require the user to determine if the car is a positive-grounded vehicle or a negative-grounded vehicle as this changes how the tender is to be hooked up.

The last positive ground car I worked on was a Pantera. I dont know of any P-car with a +ground.
