Anyone have any feed back on LA Porsche Dismantler? I purchased some litronic head lights to retrofit to my 96 993 and one of the ballasts was bad and then the 2nd one the shipped me was also bad. They also charge $50.00 for overnight shipping.
1) Has anyone had similar experience?
2) Does anyone know someone over there I can talk to? I have been dealing with Tony.

I think Tony is the owner. I found it very hard to deal with them and get returned phone calls. I found their prices a bit out of line, sometimes more than a new part from Sunset Porache.

Good luck... if you do a search there have been numerous complaints about their "service". It seems the best way to deal with them is to be right there with cash in hand. Other than that, you take your chances.
Sorry to hear you are having problems... hope it gets resolved amicably.

I actually had a good experience with them. I agree that they are very difficult to get in touch with on the phone. I bought a spare tire and air compressor (spare somehow disappeared from the car in transit when I bought it) from them. The air compressor was defective and they promptly credited my cc and reimbursed me a portion of the shipping cost. I wound up buying and aftermarket one instead. In terms of their prices, I agree that they are a bit high but I negotiated a price on everything that I have purchased thus far.

They are OK for some things but it's much better when you are right there. They take a couple days to respond to emails. They are also very busy on Ebay. You're always better off dealing in person when it comes to used electronics. As for the lights, the best deal in town is at Vertex. Giver them a call

i got one used purchase from them via an ebay auction.. no problems, exactly what was pictured and on the auction and well packaged... along with prompt shipment...
but that has been my 1 and only experience with them
...other than price quotes I thought too high...

I went by there and was underwhelmed (not terribly helpful and I felt like I got the bum's rush... they wouldn't let me just walk the yard). Their prices seem extraordinarily high too.
I called them once to see if they had clear corners... left a message with the receptionist with a promise that I'd be called back... didn't happen.

I bought a decklid from Todd, owners son. I called prior to me driving up there and asked if they had a 96+ decklid in nice shape. Todd said, sure do, plenty of them. Drove up there and it was then when Todd asked one of his dudes to go remove one. 15 minutes later the dude presented a 1995 lid, kinda beat up. Workable, but beat up nonetheless.
I asked Todd for what we had talked about on the phone. He seemed kinda put out by the request, but asked another dude to go and get one. He did bring out a very nice one from a 97 C4S. Price was ok.
I agree, pricing on most items really high, but best to deal with them in person with cash
