Actually, getting the Sport Seat option when buying a 993 new was one of the great bargains of all time... I forget if it was a no-cost option or a couple of hundred, but a deal of the century, considering the aftermarket price of these puppies.

Give truspeed a call. They had some sport seats with carbon fiber backs that came out of an S. I passed on them because they weren't heated, and I wanted to keep my TTS as original as possible (let's see how long THAT lasts...).

I believe they were asking $4k.

I have seen regular sport seats sell in the $2500-3K range with low mileage. The heated with carbon are pretty rare and do command more $$.

For 4750 you could buy a pair of Recaro SPG, a pair of GT3 in leather, and have enough left over to re-dye your original seats to almost new condition!

Sport seats do look nice, but not sure if that price is realistic.

If you search hard enough - and wait for 2.5 years . . . get out bid lots of times . . .

eventually you get lucky . . . . I got mine last month.
