If you're considering buying a silver hood crest, I'd suggest doing it soon.
PAG/PCNA has unleashed the lawyers yet again , which is why some of the previous suppliers no longer offer them for sale.

I'd suggest Eric at Bumperplugs....rennlist sponsor and all around great guy.

Rav,
Do you have any front quarter pictures that can show us how good your wheel centers and hood crest all tie together with the rest?

Bogwan, I was wondering the exact same thing. I have the painted center caps on my car and I would imagine that they would look off with a silver painted badge. Good excuse to get rid of the PO's chrome sport II's for some new rims (non-chrome) with silver center caps!

Rav,

Would your wheel center caps fit a standard p-car rim? I have Turbo twists and love the look of the silver caps!

Not a "plug" for bumperplugs... but this is off their website. As you can see, not a cheap mod. Measure the hub opening in your wheels. If they are 60mm the next choice is a financial one.

Wheel Caps - Billet Aluminum, Locking $399/set of 4
Please select a color. Silver w/Gold Silver w/Silver Black w/Gold

These will fit current Porsche wheels, 60mm opening. See them here , here and here!

Not at the moment... but within a couple days. I'll post to this thread.

Help Please...

I just took my old crest off too quickly. Does the gasket go ridge side down facing the hood or ridge side up facing the crest?

Ridge side up. Take your time... getting it perfect is a test of patience. Soak the gasket in boiling water, stretch it and assemble the package (crest + gasket). If you get it right in under an hour you've done an excellent job!

Check out the close up pic.

Holy crap. I just finished the silver hood crest "mod". What a PITA. It seems like it should take 5 minutes but Nooooooo!
Looks good though. Thanks for the advice RAV.
