CEL code P1140?
Rufus just threw a CEL: P1140 "Load Sensor Signal Reading inplausable". Going to have this looked after tomrrow. Looks like there may be a leak around/near the MAF. Anybody ever have this code? what needed to be fixed?

Thanks. I found that thread. The info in that thread is out of the book. I'm wondering if anybody has actually had this code and had it repaired and what it actually was.

I ask because, purely by chance when I dropped my car off at Ruf to have it aligned and corner balanced, I was talking to one of the German techs. He was being ribbed by the other guys for being a crazy driver. Why? Because he had to replicate a CEL condition that occurred after a few hard accelerations from 0-60. So, several launches later, the CEL flashes and they grab the code. I don't remember the number but it boiled down to having unmetered air being mixed into the intake.
Turns out, it was an intake boot, *I think*.
If you run into a dead end, you might call Hans Hoffman at Ruf in Dallas and see if he remembers what remedied the car I mention above. It was a silver TT.

Scott,
I swear officer, I wasn't actually speeding. These dang furrin cars look like they're going faster than they are.
Thanks for the tip. The temp sensor was properly plugged in (drats). My intercooler is a bit loose to the throttle body due to some stripped hardware. The mechanic is putting in new seals and heli-coils... that is most likely the roots cause of my code. I probably won't knw if its fixed for a few hundred miles (if history repeats itself).
