Has any one done the conversion to add the two extra rear brake lights ? Thoughts ?

I did this on my son's BMW. The germans have rear fog lights so there was an unused socket which I rewired to the stop circuit. Makes sense that Porsche may present the same opportunity. Anyone know for sure?

Yes all the info is on Robins P-car website. I was wondering if anyone had acually done it ?
I think Norm Goldrich's race car has it.

I pulled out my center lens just now to have a look, and removed a socket blockoff to see if I can find a socket for this. It seems like a great safety upgrade for those of us who commute to work in our 993s.
I am not sure this will work yet, but I did notice that the two Hella PY21W sockets that come with the front clear indicator lens package (the ones you stick in a drawer because you're using the original sockets on the car) look like their mounts are the right diameter and depth. The only problem is that they have three tabs spaced at 120 deg each instead of two tabs spaced at 180 deg. Other than that this project looks like just a tiny bit of wiring and a couple white bulbs for a nice upgrade.

It's not much of an upgrade on Norm's car, as I'm pretty certain he never uses his brakes

He's fast... no need for no stinkin' brakes...

Just out of interest, why don't you hook up the fog lights? I've had a few times when I was driving in the US and wanted to use fog lights. Do you guys just prey that you won't get rear-ended?

Those lights come on with the white reversing lights on mine, I checked it out and all looks like it should be like that.
I was thinking of connecting them to the stop light circuit. Will do it when I do my front parking light mod.
