I expect to have new fronts and rears on Rufus tomorrow, and will have some very nice condition (minimum 6/32 tread remains of 10/32 when new) 245x35x19 Pirelli Rosso Assymetricos available. Tire Rack lists these new for about $300 each. If interested, send me an email: ca993twin@yahoo.com, and I will soon have some pictures of them dismounted. Local (SoCal) delivery preferred. Help me.

PS2 are great. I need a size that is only made by Pirelli. 305x25x19 and 255x30x19. Looks like a perfect match, front to rear. Roughly the same overall height as the stock 18" tires. I may need to lower the car a tad, which is gonna to aggravate the front bumper scrape problem. sigh. its always something.

Tony,
According to the tire size calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
the front tires will be .4 inch taller than the rear. That will keep the VC pretty warm. I have no idea when that difference is too much, nor what the ACTUAL tire height is for the PS2s. If you can hang on for a day or two, I'll have some sort of a report on my new setup.
You can call Wheel Enhancements and discuss your plans with them... they are quite knowledgeable about Porsche tires.

Tony,
I just got the new tires. I haven't had a chance to "exercise" them yet (still have mold release on them), but the ride is not bad... no worse than before. My car was setup for tires that were a full inch taller than the stock 18" (and so are the tires that you are proposing to get), and these new tires are the same height as the stock 18". On my car, it leaves a bit more of a gap from the tire to the fender opening... I may need to lower the car a bit to make it look right.
Bottom line: I think this is the ticket for you as well. Can you wait until Nov 12th to decide? You'll have an opportunity to test them for yourself.

Here are the tires that are available: two 245x35x19 Pirelli Rosso Assymetrical. They both have 8/32 tread on the outside edge and 6/32 on the inside edge. These tires come new with 10/32" tread, and sell for around $300 each, There have been no prior repairs made to these tires.
