Maybe I've seen too many scams, but this question sounds like the seller knows exactly what a TUV rating is and is playing "dumb and innocent". A seller of wheels who doesn't know what TUV denotes?

Think Pierre Tien and the fake fpb scandal...

Sorry for the confusion Mark. That was me asking the question not the seller. The wheels have a TUV rating. I just wanted to know if that is a rating that is easily obtained.

Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

Sorry, my misunderstanding. I thought the seller was playing innocent and ignorant.

well, I've heard that getting a TUV rating is not always a sure sign of quality.. apparently it all depends on who you know and how you pay them off... as in, the TUV thing is corrupt.. and I heard this directly from someone who works very closely with german car manufacturers...

..take it for what it is... I have no idea how true this is...

FWIW. Poke around in here and hopefully it will explain the system, it's like our 'UL' rating system.

Angry Here is what I have found out the HARD way...

NoName aftermarket wheels are always easy to buy, and a BITCH to sell unless you are willing to take a big discount. Don't ask me how I know this

I just lost nearly $300 selling a a set of Milla Miglia wheels that I owned for about a month. I paid $750 + 50% ($60) freight on the wheels that included tires, and sold them a month later for $550 plus my time to deliver the wheels. If my time is worth $40 an hour...there is another $240....

From now on I will buy only OEM wheels, or very sought after aftermarket wheels such as Kinesis, Fikse, BBS.....

The D90 clubsports and 928 slots were forged, but otherwise I think you're right. If I could afford them I'd run nothing but forged wheels on all my cars.
