Howdy,
I did a search and learned the proper way (I believe) to enter the code to bring my CR-210 back to life.
I get the “CODE” prompt enter what the dealer gave me and hit the up arrow on the right side of the stereo. The “Code” prompt comes back and after 3 tries the stereo displays “WAIT” and stays that way for 15-20 minutes and then displays "CODE” again.
Could the 4 digits the dealer gave me be wrong?
Thanks in advance!

I believe if the code is entered wrong 3 times the unit does make you wait to continue trying, so yes, the unit is behaving like it is designed.
It sounds like you have the incorrect code from the dealer.

Did the dealer pull up your code using the VIN or were you able to give him the serial # on the unit? The s/n is the most accurate as the radio may have been changed before delivery of car.

Make sure that after you put in the code you push the proper "enter" button on the radio. I don't have the manual in front of me to tell you what that button is. However, if you don't push it the radio will act like you have the wrong code.

Hi Laura,
I did give both the serial number and the VIN number. They asked me to check the owner’s manual to insure that I'm putting the code in correctly. If the code won't take I was asked to bring the car in for them to try. They said the code is correct, but I can't believe that it is.
Thanks

Thanks Jim,
Maybe I am pushing the wrong button after the code? My search came up with the up arrow on the right side of the stereo. Anyone know for sure on a CR-210 which button it is?

It was the wrong code; and my fault. Initially I gave the dealer the serial number from the back of the removable faceplate. When I showed up at the dealership the tech grabbed the tools to remove the deck and grabbed the serial number from the unit itself. Five minutes late he came back with the correct code for no charge.
Thanks all for the input,
