Nice! I had a 1200c some years back. Love those BMW bikes.

My garage space is shared by my summer vehicles: the 993 and my BMW K1200LT. They're good stablemates!

Star,

You will love that bike. I have the 97 R1100RS, and have riden about 3000 miles on the RT's.

That bike, an electric vest, elec arm chaps, elec leg chaps and you are riding all year long no matter where you are as long as the roads are free of ice and now.

One mod suggestion. Look at the front fender of the sporty K1200rs. That little fender fits perfectly and looks soooo mucgh better!

Only word of caution is that with the larger airflow windscreen, that front fender does not provide as much downforce and the front can become light at triple digits with the widnshield in the full upright position.

Also your freight will love riding in your slipstream to listen to your speakers on the stereo. My father and I have covered countless miles in "formation".

Great bike!
Wilson

Nice bike. I traded my R bike in 2003 for a new K1200RS, with the new evo ABS brake system. I love this bike. In fact, most days it actually is a difficult decision as to what to drive/ride to work. Both however, get execised regularly!

Enjoy the ride
Michael
