that is a 996 h/top as you know by now however it is VERY difficult to mix the 986 and 996 h/tops up - simple thing to watch for which has already been covered is that the 996 h/top has a parcel shelf and the 986 DOES NOT!

IMO, seller was rather mean not being 'honest' at point of sale IF indeed you had pointed out that it was for a 986.

Pedro, I think that the 356 hardtops were some of the best fit and finish around. The early and very rare 911 hardtop for the 83-89 cars were similarly beautiful. Two drawbacks though: they were an Exclusive item and around $10K plus shipping AND had to be installed by a dealer after they removed the softtop. Not very convenient!
