10 Commandments of Auto Bahn Driving
This article is from an old European Car magazine where they drove a highly modified Brabus EV12 Mercedes Benz(Morphed from "E" Class).
They tested the car at 222MPH and here's what they had to say about driving on the AutoBahn.

My experience of driving from Frankfurt to Berlin a few years ago was ignore all of those rules and add:
Thou shalt dodge huge potholes in poorly maintained road and
Thou shalt watch thy rear-view window 95% of the time when in the outside lane due to suicidal locals looking for accidents!
Louis - only joking! I used to stay in Bad Soden when I was visiting Unisys. It's a lovely bit of the country!
Cheers,
David

I got pulled over near Cologne for running my fog lights in a torrential downpour. Soaking wet female cop was chapped that I hadn't heard her telling me through her car's loudspeaker to turn them off. She said something like visibility has to be under 10 meters before foglights are allowed. But she let me go.

And I think making rude or suggestive hand gestures to other drivers and flashing headlamps at slower cars up ahead is now illegal in Germany as part of reducing road rage and dealing with the greater autobahn congestion.

There's actually a very good summary of Autobahn driving on Wikipedia now:
Always good for a review before you head back: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autobahn
It features some interesting, typically German, phrases that are quite descriptive, like...'Elefantenrennen' (Elephant Race), when two heavy trucks are vying to get ahead...
