I went to a few local shops and none of them have the JB Carbon blaster which is talked about in the other threads...
Can anyone recommend any substitutes?
Also... every time I tell my friends what I'm doing this weekend, they all look at me like I'm nuts. The standard "if it isn't broke... don't fix it". I think of this as preventative maintenance... am I nuts?
I don't think it's nuts. I plan on doing it this winter, only reason I haven't already is because I'm still under extended warranty for another month. Far better to flush those ports out while they're still open.
I wouldn't worry much about not being able to find the JB stuff... it's just something that worked for me. Any of the other products that have been mentioned in these posts should work as well.
Please post your results as you are working and be sure to ask for help if you get stuck along the way.
As far as your friends... guess none of them own 993s, eh? You're doing right by attending to this early.
Yeah Dennis you are nuts - By the way I checked B&B and Schucks and they all said Napa but they have already closed when I saw your thread - See you Saturday morning - this is going to be interesting
