I'm with you Joe, I love the Reno Air Races.....I just don't have the skill to fly that kind of event without becoming a grease spot on the desert floor............ZP44

I would not consider 140 mph + on American roads normal!

Not sure of the speedo error.... but with the speedo pegged and I had 1000 more rpm's till red line. Location... somewhere in the US and I am not saying where. The car was rock solid on the road!!!!

It felt very solid at high speed, although my previous 944 turbo felt even more solid.... which is surprising, because it was on comparatively high profile 16" tires. The turbo also had more guts at high speed, but that's boost for ya...
I agree with you about the 944 feeling a tad more taut at higher speeds. This is due to the 944's Cd of 0.28. The best slipstreamer I've had. I miss my underpowered 944.

I hit 130+ in my 86 cab across the AZ desert...it was quite stable and fun.
Just then, I looked across the freeway and saw an overturned car with
a bunch of bodys lying all over the grass along with their possessions.
So, i decided to slow down.

The 993 cab, only up to 120 or so...

Sonic; you may want to get a wheel alignment, the high speed handling is very sensitive to proper alignment. I had one hand on the wheel and one on the camera at 163 mph indicated.

Picked up our latest 993 a couple of weeks ago. Coming back to San Pedro on the 405 from OC, the traffic was FLYING. I looked down and saw 93mph and I was being passed bya bunch of cars going....??? Has the CHP just given up on speeders when SOOOOO many are speeding at the same time? (I doubt it)
