Looks like a great car. Wheels and caliper paint can be redone relatively cheaply.

Let's face it: it's a 98 aircooled C2S. Last production year and carries a pretty good premium. If anything, I'd have a PPI done to it, find out what's the cause of the leak (probably needs valve guide job). If so, I'd know about 8 or 10 large off the total and see if he'd be willing to make a deal. Once you get that engine work done, repaint the calipers, and put a proper set of wheels on the car (YMMV) I think the car will be a stunner and command a premium for the next protential owner. Or, perhaps you'd want to keep it (I know I would).

Might need some $, but it's a great example of one of the last aircooled. And white is just so hot, IMO.

I just bought a 98 C2S, 30k miles, totaly stock with only a few factory options including 18's, car is near perfect, thorough PPI by Porsche, needed a quart of oil. No Paint work, clean carfax, original owner, all records, books, keys and window sticker. All service by the same Porshe dealer. Arena red/classic grey Paid $49.9k.

I think that you could pay 5,000 more and get a fantastic one. Even if it is cheap you will not be happy with a car with stories.

Have a mechanic you trust look it over, then decide.
