Just wondering if any of my fellow listers are going to be in town for the SEMA show at the beginning of November. I plan on being there at least one day and would like to catch up with some folks from this board. I missed Chris W. last year as we had busy schedules. Are you coming back Chris?

Hi John,
I wish I was attending SEMA this year! I’ve always wanted to go, I have a friend in the industry that gets tickets but I just can’t seem to get the time.
OT – I’ll be in Vegas for the first time
two weeks before SEMA for a different conference\show. I don’t want to step on your thread, so if you would be so kind perhaps in a PM let me know what you think is a MOST for a Vegas virgin.
Thanks,

Whoops! I misspoke. Let me clarify how the public can attend, SEMA registration states only "qualified members of the automotive aftermarket industry are permitted to attend". Two (2) forms of approved professional identification may be required in the form of: (1) form of business identification and one (1) form of personal identification. I've gotten in at the on site registration with just a business card. (I'm in the industry) I've never furnished more than that. If you are not in the industry but want to register in advance try asking your local part house, mechanical shop, tire store or anyone in the service-parts industry to help you with the required credentials. Typically, a photo copy of a retail merchant certificate and a business card (PCA card might do). Some guys I know share badges from guys that have them. Lot's of people pass their badges around since the show runs several days. It's a terrific show, worth the effort.

Cheers
John for taking the time to grab a little kart racing when I was in town last week. I had a great time and very much appreciated you taking the time out of your busy day to hang out for a little.
Thanks again!

Walter,
I enjoyed it a bunch. Sorry you couldn't postpone until SEMA.
BTW I was at the SEMA show yesterday and today. Man those people outdo themselves year after year. I'll try to get some pics uploaded. To sum up the experience (for those that haven't witnessed it themselves) it is all the cars and ***** you can stand to look at in one day

Yeah Chris. Sorry you couldn't make it. I really had hoped we could catch up since our plans went south last year. There will be another time though.
You were not the only one sending cars out with wet paint. I was talking to one of the "preparers" there and he was telling me about baking cars all night before opening tuesday. He had some wild stories.
