On my screen, it looks like an original Porsche prototype. Really Weird.

Congrats! Not only on a beautiful 993, but on getting the "right" color
BTW, by the looks of that pic, methinks you are not the only one who welcomes the new addition to the family. Enjoy it together!

Smashing Car!
Now we have plenty of questions for you!

First, what are the mods? It's very interesting to hear about them and your impression of them?
Do you have a option code list? Rennlist has a function to decode those for you!
How do you plan to use the car? DE, Auto-X, roadtrips etc etc..
Any special mods you have in mind that you would like to do?
Is it your first Porsche, or have you perhaps had previous experience with them?

The car looks great! And a BIG welcome to Rennlist, feel free to ask as many questions that could pop up in your head both dumb/bright complex/easy ones. The search engine is a great tool also!

Oh, man, I wish my dad would have bought a P-car instead of the 3 Volvos in a row he got...

Cheers!

P.S Nice exhaust tips...

Do you know anything about the exhaust tips ? Looks very similiar to those found on the Turbo S.
What type of exhaust you got under there ??
Those are not the tips from the Turbo S, looks rather like the ones from the 996 series or aftermarket ones.

Thks everybody for the great welcome and for the questions .....

For the people asking details on the enhancements of this 993 euro C2
As far as i know (i am the 2nd owner)

* sport enhanced exhaust asystem /muffler and tips (All Stainless S ).
Sounds Great, not too much loud.
* 300HP engine with chip (porsche installed)
* RUF sport pedals (you better use special shoes )
* Aluming gauges rings/shifter
* Litronic lighting
* 3 spoke St wheel (looks fabulous on this model)

With 10 years, has been pampered so much looks a brand new model !!!
Never rain, never snow, never beach, always covered garaged.
First owner seems to be very picky on the car . I will follow him .. !! what the heck !

Everytime i use it, is like have a new porsche ... !! once a week, tipically sundays ...
Run like a devil and all works perfect. Is a very good sensation.
I will be transfered to the States very soon, and i will try to take with me ..
is gonna be a mess , but i am trying to work this out ....

eloy

Must have belonged to a rennlister! Let's see, turbo ducts, aluminum guage rings, aluminum shifter, RUF aluminum pedals, three spoke steering wheel...

Kewl.

Anybody notice that the 'wipers' are on the 'other' side?
(and a bit "high up on the windscreen too", IMHO.)

Hahahaha ... G is really a great curious gay !!!! a NewYorker at last ...

Yes ... wipers are at the "wrong" side

Q.- why do you think are is the other side .. ??

A.- 1) because the wiper time-delay relay do not work really well on the 993 ... sometimes, when is very hot , the relay self-activated without reason and you have wipers motion on a sunny day !
Not only happens in 993, also in Mercedes and other vehicles ... Reason ... dont know .. eventhough i am an electronic engineer .. !!!! I change for a new relay one and nothing ... Hot day, Random wiper action .. !!

B.- Looks TERRIFIC in the "wrong" side ...

C.- Driver vision get improved A LOT .. !!! and a LOT means a LOT !!!!

993 enthusiasts ... try to do it ..
take out the delay relay (easy to find under the hood)
turn on the wipers and sttoped on the "wrong" side

and you will get a GREAT and better perspective ....
(you lost the delay control of the wippers, only remain on and off .. but i dont care ..)
(I preffer to see better)

(Excuse my poor and broken english. I am not American , neither live in the States. )
(I love the States by the way .. such a nice country ..)

Eloy
