Dan - Dudley is correct...I am running 11" wheels on my MY98 cab (see pic in sig). Others here are spot on in that there is no performance need to run rims/tires this wide on a street car...I just did it because I could, plus I thought looked pretty good

Here's some pix of a 993 with 11x18 inch Cup II wheels. The car is actually for sale in Germany at this moment (see www.Mobile.de). Hope this helps. ASV

Just out of curiosity A question for those w/ 11" wheels on the back of a n/b 993, what is the offset(ET#) of your 11" wheel and what tire are you using?

I actually have 10 1/2 rear wheels (but will get new inners to make them 11's). I was initially worried that I might get some rubbing on the oil lines but I have at least an inch clearance. The first pic is my car with the 10 1/2 in the back with Hoosier 305's. The second pic is my car with 11 1/2 in back!!!!! That's just pure evil.................................

Les,

They are the Fikse Profil 5S. Unfortunately, they are not mine (I wish I would have bought them now). They were just used to see if they would fit.

ok, it appears that no one knows or is willing to say.

The +67mm o/s 997 11s are supposed to fit on n/b 993

So 10's from +56 to +65 are a good fit w/ 265/35 to 285/30 (maybe 305/30) x18 tires

and +67 11s w/ similar widths should fit.

and the +63mm 995 GT3 11s w/295/30 x18 tires also appear to fit(barely)

Here are the comparative fitments of wheels that are known or believed to fit the back of a n/b 993

all of the wheel flanges have been ignored only the bead width is shown, flanges add ~7 - 13mm per side depending on the manufacturer.

Bill,

I wish I was better at math thus being able to answer your question. I know that my 10 1/2's are 58mm offset and fit perfectly. I have no room to the outside but over an inch to the inside. So, if I changed the inner halves and increased them by 1/2 inch (12.7mm), would that make my offset ~71mm?

I just added 10.5" bead width ET58 to the chart above

So, if I changed the inner halves and increased them by 1/2 inch (12.7mm), would that make my offset ~71mm?
No, it only moves the inboard face another .5" inboard

currently your 10.5 has ~191.4mm of backspace, an additional .5" on the inboard side changes that to ~204.1mm of backspace(these are not exact #s just pretty close), all other measurements except bead width(which goes to 11") stay the same.

again this is totally neglecting the flange widths which can add ~7-13mm to either front or backspace dimensions
