eh theOtherEric i do share the same tastes as you do in music and also i don't i happen to not like Neil Diamond and i'm not for thinkin that it could be possible with either the stock motor or a newer F-6 say the 3.8L from the 997 911 Carrera 4S
bore it out if possible to 4.5L,shorten the stroke lighter valves, valve springs, rockers, lifters, pistons, heads perhaps shave them for a lower compression or go with lower compression rings, polish the intake, port heads maybe then add a supercharger and also use carbon fiber reinforced aluminum for a good portion of the body work to lower the curb weight hopefully by 300-900lbs
and by the way Hanson can be like Kurt Cobain

Sorry, but I didn't see any racism in any comments above, did I miss something?

By the way BLACK MAGIC, I don't know of any street legal cars capable of 7-8 second quarter miles. There was recently an article on a 850bhp Subaru STi built by some tuner company, capable of 9 second quarters around 143mph. Unless you fabricate the 993 body out of paper machet and strap a Ferrari F1 drivetrain to it, I'm afraid you're out of luck. On second thought, better make that the BMW F1 drivetrain

Seriously though, these cars are not drag racers. I have no clue why you'd want to drag race any Porsche against the jap rice crowd, there's always a 700bhp Supra that could toast you. The reason owning a Porsche is so special, is that you can use the car as it was intended (racetrack) time after time, without having to rebuild the thing every few engine hours. Can't say the same about the riceboxes pushing 200bhp/liter.

That said, if you still want to drag race your Porsche, I would recommend two things:

1) Buy an early 944 turbo (can easily be modded to over 400rwhp for less than $5k)
2) Since first gear is terrible on 951s for drag racing, do rolling starts from 30mph when you're drag racing.

Even still, like I said there's always a 700bhp Supra that will toast you

I never thought I would see "shizzle" and "Neil Diamond" appear in the same thread.

My life is now complete.
