Thanks David -

I actually recall your alliance with the 2 schools from our past wheel discussion . . . I'm an 'SC fan for sure . . . but hold much respect for UCLA too . . . thanks for the advice . . . you're a pro my friend. I still want your Gembella wheels . . . they are simply AWESOME IMHO . . . my MY02 5 spokes truly know what they want to be when they grow up.

Thanks ! The calipers were powder coated by a real good friend, and a true pro around here. I could not have possibly asked for, nor expected more quality and detail. PM me if you're interested.

Hey Scott...

Great job on the mods. Did you buy the MY02's brand new or used? Where from? They really look awesome... I like those wheels a lot on 993's.

Did you do your MBA at SC? What year did you graduate? I was class of 2000.

Congrats and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the input.

I picked up the MY02's used (again, with a little help from my friends . . . a nice "heads up" on an eBay listing. ) These are hard to come by -- at least for a good price and in good shape. I got real lucky, after searching long and hard, and paid just over $1,500 for the set, with Michelin Pilot Sport tires with about 70-75% tread life left. Only 1 had a very minor curb rash -- nothing compared to my old 17" cup wheels.

I got my BS in Business Admin. at 'SC in 1992 -- almost went for the MBA, but went to law school instead. Oh crap -- here come the flames.

FIGHT ON!

I figured it out after looking at it awhile. Understand what you mean...all the good ones in Calif are taken! (I have "1K2RSMO" - which no one ever figures out - on my S6 waiting for a more appropriate home )

There's no way I could do it alone ! I am so very impressed with the way the car sounds, rides and handles now -- it's tough to describe. Anyway, thanks (as always) for sharin' the knowledge -- and for the honest OP re: the performance of my car -- I love it -- seems pretty fast to me too.

Scott,

Beautiful work. Just one more thought... how about a nice three-spoke steering wheel? I love your bezel rings, alum padle sets, gorgeous wheels.....really nicely done.
