Default 993 Rear Speaker Upgrade

For a 1995 CAB, what size are the rear speakers, they look like either 4" or 4 1/2'.
Is it hard to access and is there a certain depth that I should be looking for?

Any aftermarket speakers recommended or any other porsche models use the same size?

IIRC they are 4" and I have done the replacement on two cabs. In both cases I just used what happened to be on sale...I would not bother spending more than $50-60 on these speakers given their location and how much sound/volume they contribute, esp. with the top down. I think one set I used were Boston Accoustics and the other were JBLs.

The boxes are shallow and while the stock speakers suck the upgrades are minimal,a sub box on the rear floor self contained is the way to go !
