Take care,
Take care,
Since you saw the damaged goods before you may appreciate the great job the shop did to put it together to this point.
It is now getting an alignment and corner balance. It will be good to go in a few days.
While this thread is about how the RUF looks now, I must say that it walks the walks too. On Saturady I was taking the 85 south on ramp at Evelyn. For those who know that area, the on-ramp is an up-hill run with walls on both sides, so I can't see any traffic on my left. I blasted up the ramp and the boost kicked in big time. I hit the top of the ramp at 65 mph and just shifted into 3rd, then I see this white SUV bearing down on me at about 80 MPH (I was going up a blind lane up till now). If it's a different car, I'd brake and slide to the right shoulder and let the SUV go. In this particular case, I burried my right foot, and amidst the growl of the engine and the huge force pushing me back into my seats, I basically left the SUV standing there. Boy that was fun.

That would be wonderful. I promise I'd drive like grandma would so I can get there safely (unlike last time). Please pick a scenic spot for some heavy-duty photo-op.
Also, I'll trump you with my gas mileage.

When Steve and I get together, I'll PM you as well. If schedule allows we'll meet up together. I still owe you a thorough test drive.

As they say, it's never the car, only the driver. Love to meet up one day.

your car looks absolutely awesome...both before and after...it has been and still is one of my favorites on the board...
having said that, i will take the minority position that i LOVED the way that those black wheels looked on your car...they made it look so mean. the new wheels look great also, but i liked the black as much or better...

CP: My car is not with me in Paris. Sucks! The black wheels have been installed and it looks FANTASTIC! I ordered the wheels spacers from HANS.....they should make the rear look normal. I also got some RUF coilovers. Now all I need to do to FINISH the car is re-powdercoat the brake calipers as the red is flaking off. Then I need to get RUF front and rear bumpers, the RUF A-pillar treatments. The RUF Gauges, beef up the stereo a bit. AND THEN send it to Dallas for a RUF Turbo conversion. God, that'd be nice. THat will be the LAST step of the plan. Bumpers and calipers are first priority. Oh, and i need clearbra too!

I met up with a bunch of my buddies with M5 and Z8s this past Sunday. It started out with me trading a test drive with a bud with an E36 M3 (I have driven M5s and Z8s, but never an E36 M3). He took the RUF out and almost fainted from the rush. That opened the flood gate and guys were lining up to drive the RUF. Now these are drivers with 400 HP cars, and they uniformly to the power and agility of the RUF. One is now following up on 996 GT2 (obviousley there are no RUFs to be had) to quench his thirst. So yeah, the RUF definitely walks the walk as well.
