Hi guys,
My father recently bought a Zenith Blue C4S - from reading the past threads it looks like the Immobilizer will always be on. Ok, we can handle that.
But - this car automatically locks itself when you get out, is there a way to turn this feature off? We live in the middle of nowhere and its just uneccesary to have the car locking itself every time you get out.
Thanks! (and hopefully we can get him to join renn!)
Do you know if the car has had an aftermarket alarm fitted? I would suspect either the central alarm unit is "bad" in some way (it's located on the left side under the passenger seat), or an aftermarket unit as been fitted, and someone was "clever" enough to make it highly probable that you'll lock the keys in the car.
Nice color! - even had the clear blinkers fitted as well as a lowering I see.

They built me up for nothing - I went out there, unlocked it, fired it and let it sit again. 30min later hasnt locked itself? I dunno what they were doing but I cant get it to lock itself.
Take notice if your interior lights come on all the time when you open the door. You may have an intermittent door pin switch which enables/disables the relock function. Had this problem when I first bought my car and it was scaring the bejeezus out of me thinking I would get locked out of the car one day.
I think that's my old C4S.
I never had any problems with the locking at all. It had a factory alarm/imobiliser. It does auto lock (as correctly posted above) if the door is unlocked and not opened.
Beautiful looking car BTW
